~Learnt to appreciate sleeping time (coz barely slept during SPM)
~Learnt that babies don't come from the sky (ehh i knew that already =.=) anywayy and..
~Learnt that Santa was actually my dad! (nah jokinggg =D)

As i lay here thinking..

So I'm lying down on the sofa with the laptop on my lap and phone on the table, chatting, msging and not doing anything else, I thought I'd blog about my experience today xD.



So was kinda normal day for me with my ladida attitude. Lunch was something I've never had before, Malay Chicken Rice =D I usually have the chinese Char Siew Rice(its bbq-ed pork btw). So back to the story, Malay Chicken Rice(MCR omg My Chemical Romance lol) ANYWAY!!, it tastes alright to my surprise. Though the rice was not oily and the soup was full of celery(eww i despise celery! Die celery die!) it tasted good. Guess it was that special sause(looked dark so dunno what was in it =D) that i poured all over the rice lol.



So then back to ladida-ness and msn-ing. Yawn. Then my dad was like, kay guys lets go out to eat Mee Bandung. Supposedly it was it's speciality so well what the heck lol. We took a drive out to Batu 23 of Sungai Besar which is after Sabak Bernam(Selangor and yes I'm in Perak but it's at the border). We got lost and asked 2 girls on a motorbike(no helmet of course =.=) for directions. She was like "Umm masuk dalam nanti u masuk sana*points finger at like nowhere*" My dad was like "Masuk kiri ker kanan?" She was like "Masuk sana*points again*" My dad was like "Kiri ker?" Den she was like "Kejap kejap, err yaya kiri lepas tu kanan". Halleluyah~!! Finally =.=



So we(okay I lah=.=) was a bit sceptical about the whole thing as we were in a small lorong full of rempits wannabes with no helmets. Then we reached the seaside(yes it was a seaside but the tide was sooo low we could barely catch a glimpse of the sea lol) So it was a 100% Malay area and my mum could easily pass off as a Malay and my dad looks like a real Indian with his beard and all, they're gona be thinking "Bagus yer converted this Indian fella to Muslim LOL" So then we ate and it was GOOD. Waaaay better than Sultan's(my sch's) mee bandung. Had err how the hell u spell this, LenCheeKang? LOL something like that and it had NUTMEG~!! ANOTHER BIG NONO GAH~! We also had beef and chicken satay with the kacang sauce..Mmmmmmm yummy.



So then came the funny part. My mum took out a new print RM50 note but didn't wana play with it coz it's special. So my mum asked "Berapa?". The lady said "RM24". My mum took out RM10 and gave the lady. The lady was waiting for more and my mum was relaxing. I was like "Mummy, u gave her 10 bucks." LOL.



I remember the scene from Russell Peters. His dad will give the waitress less than the due ammount and say, "Keep the change, nono keep it dear, it's on me." lol.



So then came home and went online and found out that Body Butter is like a lotion that you use over ur body. Pardon my ke-naive-an lol. I thought it was some naughty thingy or what lol. Thanks Kimmy for enlightening me lol =D Good gal lol.

I hear some saying "Aiya you can't see the kolej word meh" and others "Nolah this Shawn edited the kolej word in"

The fact is, WELCOME one and all to my FUTURE college 'Kolej Teknologi Timur'(KTT) where I will be going for my A levels. Yes it's not a joke. Amazing enough it's in sepang which is about an hour from KL. And here I thought I would be going to KL and having a good time. Yes I am grateful for getting this JPA/PSD scholarship but at the same time I'm only human, it's the 'Beri betis nak peha' philosophy.

Anyway, news from students there are okay. So i'll live with it. I'll take it as a challenge and it's God's will so I will just follow it and see where this path will lead me to.

Trust in the Lord.

PS: Those who got UK, US and so on, you guys are soooo lucky.

The JPA Experience(so far)

I haven't blogged since January 5th omg..Anyway, thought I'd blog about my personal JPA scholarship experience xD..

I shouted during the interview(seriously I did). Read on for that xD

Started off when I got 10A1s and an A2 -EST nooooo T_T- which I didn't expect to get at all. I expected like 8As because my trials were kinda bad-ish. So then started the frenzy of applying for this that and dunno what else. Certifying this cert that cert, ic la payslips la that was super hectic.

Offers so far was UTM, Uniten, and UEM so was kinda debating but secretly hoping for JPA before deciding anything.

So when I knew I was shortlisted for the interview, started preparing like mad. Thank you Guo Sheng for all the past and present national issues xD which turned out useless but thanks nevertheless. Started memorising the Menteri Besar's name la, PM's name, lotsa ministers, JPA's head's name also a Mr Tan Sri Ismail Adam xD. Thank you Gan also for helping me jot down all the points for the recent issues. Then read up a whole lot about Dentistry and Ordonthology. Almost felt even worse than studying for SPM, well almost cause SPM had sejarah la xD.

So interview day, felt quite confident on the outside but on the inside the nerves were there threatening to upset my stomach lol. Then this guy beside me was super nervous, and I was trying to calm him down and reassure him when i was feeling the same LOL!

Thanks to ReCom I prepared my intro in BM and memorised it, and also made one in english xD. Then the question was 'If you could change one thing during your school days what would it be?' Easy question compared with Dewan Rakyat and all x_X. Then came the surprise, they asked us 'Okay now you people gotta do some acting'. We were like what did she say? ACT? OMG?! Then they said yeah act, as your discipline teacher xD

So well as I said, I started with a boring speech den after a few seconds shouted at some imaginary fella called Muthusamy lol. "Muthusamy stop talking with girls while I'm talking!" Then i ramble on about the school's cleanliness then that non-existent Muthusamy makes noise again so I say "Muthusamy! Come up on stage now!" Then i face the crowd(we're in an assembly btw) and say, "You see this boy, when I talk he talks, and that day I caught him littering in his class" Faces Muthusamy and says "If I catch you throwing rubbish all over the place I'll throw you into the rubbish bin" Well it wasn't that funny but it was spontaneous and under that really tense interview so it kinda had everyone laughing.

Before we exited, we shook hands with the interviewers and one of them actually said "Well done" to me. So that made my spirits soar xD

So on Mother's Day the results were out. My mum was trying all night before Mother's Day but the JPA web was flooded. She couldn't sleep all night(i slept well mind you xD) and we finally found out that morning that I got it.

So now eagerly waiting for the PosLembab to reach lol and made a lotta new friends already fellow future dentists and some others among them all through Recom.
