Back to Teluk Intan

So now for my 'back in Teluk Intan' post. Came back with the usual InterCity KTM from Central to Tapah Road. Watched the Butterfly Effect(it's a movie btw) on my laptop in the train. Didn't like the movie. Too psychopath-ish, gruesome killing and just a psycho movie. Freaks.

Back to good old Teluk Intan. Much have changed over the years. Been here ever since birth and I love it. Recent changes include McD, hypermarket, Giant(when is it ever gona open) and yes, a cinema(oh finally).

By the way it is in PERAK! Just for those of you who don't know. If you googled Teluk Intan, you'd find pictures and info of the Leaning Tower and Chee Cheong Fun. Those are synonymous to Teluk Intan.

For more info and pics on the delicious food of Teluk Intan move ya mouses over here and fire away.

Now for how I spent my SHORT holiday.

Good Friday
So this was the day that our Lord Jesus died on the cross for all our sins bearing the pain and the shame for us.

We were vegetarians and had parrapu(?) sambar and pappadum(?). Yeah it's the curry/sauce you guys usually eat with thosai and roti canai in KTT. Pappadum is the yellow crunchy keropok kinda thingy u eat at Indian restaurants. Went to church in the evening and had butter naan for dinner, yummy.

Saturday
Went to my secondary school to see my old friends and teachers. They had school as it was the day to take the report card. Most of my teachers said I lost weight(yay) and most if not all was staring at my earring, Teluk Intan people, seesh. Had fun going back to school, felt like it was form 5 all over again. But I would never had entered form 6 there.

After picking up my bro from school and getting his report card, went to string my new badminton racquet =D I finally bought a racquet, its a cheap one la so don't comment so much, I not as rich as you guys lol. Went for lunch at our fav char siew rice shop. We went shopping after that, could u imagine lol. First time my bro wanted to go shopping, guess times have changed haha. Bought overselves a nice tee each and headed home.

Went to church around 9 and bro played guitar and mum played organ for the Easter Mass. They both played very well. One day gotta go play for church, maybe during my holidays after A2 till flying to India. Went to Nana's place for supper and had her famous roast chicken with sausages and salad and bread.

Sunday :: Easter
The day Jesus rose from the dead, conquered death and lives forevermore in heaven.

Went out for lunch in Aunty Cecilia's place. Had a really good lunch with steamed chicken and mixed salad and prawn sambal and her famous sourish pork soup with that vegetable which I forgot the name lol, Chinese name I think.

Chatted the whole day and had amazing roasted lamb for dinner. Took extra big helpings haha sorry guys. I'm royalty =D Slept early.

Monday
Woke up early, went to get my full license =D No more stupid P license. I'm free to break the rules now haha. Oh yeah, I just got my credit card also haha, unlimited shopping! Haha.

Click on the picture to enlarge it.

So that's about it for my holiday. Wasted couldn't ,meet up with u guys but nvm la, I'll be back in June. We'll have a gathering then perhaps.

Can't wait to go to INTEC for the combined CF this Thursday.

Signing out.

Random KTT Entry

As always, I'll blog everytime I'm back in dreamy Teluk Intan. This would be a post without pictures so it would be boring-lah cause I ain't that good with words but I can't seem to transfer pics from my phone. So yeah, unless u want to read a lotta crap from me, I'd suggest u click the links to other blogs now on the right>> thx =D

Big birthday bash :: March babi-es :: Cafe KTT

Next up comes Feskott 2009, which actually is Festival Sukan Kolej Teknologi Timur. It was quite fun cause all the Diploma students(a lot) and Matrix students were also involved so it was the whole of KTT there. I was in the Yellow house and we basically won almost every track and field event(thanks to Keshan of course) and we won the most Havoc group, and the best tent decorations and Larian Mesra, and olahragawan also from our group(Keshan) but we didn't win overall. Red house won and it was quite controversial cause everyone thought it would be us. But we had a lot of fun especially our group leader taunting other teams when we won something. It was super funny. When Red team won, instead of cheering Red team, the others were chanting "Kuning tak menang, HAHA". That was so funny. It was a fun event after all.

This is totally random butt(pardon the pun) I have an err I think I can call it interesting/disgusting story here. It started like any other evening, Me, Selvan and Keshan couldn't play badminton coz it was very windy so decided to go jalan-jalan at the padang there. Then we thought lets go to the abandoned buildings at the side(near the main road). It was the same as ever, my thoughts were, it was a place to dump bodies and no one would find out, someone else thought it was a place to make out(haha). After passing that, we came upon the great evil! There was a guy butt naked(I always thought it was just a saying, boy I was wrong), taking his bath from a water source. We looked at each other, and instead of covering up, he was just calmly covering his private part with a cloth, EWW. And after that ordeal, we kept walking and suddenly there was a friggin Rottweiler barking at us. It was huge and the chain looked worn out. Seriously was kinda scared it just might charge at us, walked quickly by and thank God nothing happened. Wouldn't recommend taking that route to anyone in KTT. Unless you want to have an eyesore and a death wish =D

Another ramdomity. In KTT we all know the sad state of the WiFi which we PAY for. Now i'll go through the stages to actually get connected to the internet in KTT
1. Search for KTT1 or KTT2 signal. (most probably can't find it other than stupid StandAlone)
2. If there is a signal, it might be zero bar so don't get too excited yet.
3. Try connecting, fail to connect about a zillion times.
4. Once connected, you're not there yet, it might be LOCAL only, no internet.
5. Once there's internet, gotta check wether can even use it. Most of the time can't even load Yahoo.
6. Once in a blue(nah blue is too often, once in a rainbow-coloured moon) the internet is at usable speed.

So that is our sorry state of internet in KTT. No wonder people are switching to broadband nowadays. Broadband is quite pricey but its really fast. Bad influence though. You'd better study aight.

60 Earth Hour! 11-2-A2 supports Earth Hour! We switched off all our lights and Keshan and Selvan tried to study by a stand lamp brought by Keshan but to no avail. Me and Selvan desperate to study went to CR. On the way, saw all the people walking in the opposite direction to the cafe, even the nerds and all those people we have never seen(okay rarely seen) before coming out of their enclaves. But we, super nerds instead was heading in the opposite direction, that was really pathetic lol.

So next up was exams. We had our first practical exams which I was quite nervous to do actually. The lecturer made us feel so much 'better'. "You all are the first batch, first time doing practical, first session, don't be nervous". Bio lab was okay-ish I suppose, almost made a mistake with the slide and mitosis. Chem lab was rushy cause we had to do 3 experiments within an hour, think I messed up the QA a bit. Phy lab was okay-ish also except the circuit was confusing lol.

And us being the nerds we are, Wong came up the tangga, I asked him how was Chem, he complained "Aiyah! I got 1 wrong!" Haha. All of us here even 1 mistake can be costly. I remember last time in Form 5, 1 wrong would be like amazingly hebat people lol.

So after exams we scooted off to Mid Valley and shopped all day. Didn't buy anything though hmm. Finally tried Subway here. It was great but not as good as the one in Australia(miss the bacon lol =D)

Basically that is all that happened in KTT. Yes this must be my most boring post yet but, maybe KTT is getting more boring day by day. Even the scandals are getting boring cause its getting overly complicated nowadays. Gossip Girl pun kalah la haha.

Okay then, till the next holidays! Happy KTT-ing. KTT-ians rock!

Since Cny Till Present (Could't think of anything funny or quirky)

Warning this is a very LAZY and MESSY post. Not following any particular time chronology or anything. Just thought of updating this blog. Keeping it cobweb-free. Uploaded the pictures while I was chatting in MSN and typed the words out at 11pm. Kinda lazyyyy.

Where to start hmm. Let me crap about the water crisis. I think pipes around Sepang really fragile man. Like on cue, every few weeks gotta burst. Then we all habis la, carry pail here carry pail there. One slip, break our back, sue Syabas, what do we get? Lifetime free water supply. Okay some would say wu liao but, I don't care, wahaha.

GOLD COAST TRIP

Some people just can't get off the ground =D

Blablabla so on Valentine's Day, all of us single people, decided to go to Gold Coast(I miss Australia's Gold Coast), SEPANG LA HELLO. So we(okay the girls) tried to stay dry, but of course, they ain't no such thing as staying dry at the beach with me and Joel around =D Everyone got wet sooner or later and Joey got a nice facial mud mask from me*evil laugh* We played Kejar-Kejar(that is the official Malaysian name for Tag) or some know it as Aci Kejar or Aci Duduk. It was quite fun and tiring. Then more games n games.

Joey's facial mask. Can't really see in the picture

Then went for dinner, had no water to shower ourselves so we went to eat without bathing. Then headed back to the beach. Played Truth or Dare and got to uncover some secrets(which will be left at the beach and in our memories) and some crazy dares(this one DEFINATELY will be left on the beach lol). Then got a lil lazy and started to bury Beh, ManSeeNizer and Felicia. This blog read by decent people, so I won't post the pics of them buried under the sand(for some reasons). Ghost stories next, guitar playing, angel and devils game, then we walked the entire beach. Me and Joel and Keshan carried people on our backs(this all happened from 12am-3am)

Look our sexy legs.

Around 3am++ every1 kinda KO liao. So all tried to sleep on the sand(without mats or blankets or anything, without showering, without changing our clothes since we came) but to no avail. Only Joel could snore away in those harsh conditions HAHA. After that around 5am-6am we decided to go back to the makan place and have breakfast. The guys all bought 3L of mineral water and had a shower??? at an alley. That was one of the most pathetic baths I ever had but it was refreshing. The girls, well, they still looked good. But the smell! Nah they didn't smell la. Everyone was dead tired when the van finally came at like 7am. That was really one hell of a night. Very fun but super tiring.

CF Retreat at Port Dickson
A whole bunch of us went down to Port Dickson for our very own KTT's Christian Fellowship Retreat 2009~! Sadly only 3 guys from KTT went and Colin from Nilai International College joined us as well as Sam from the US and Robert right? LOL sorry if I got your name wrong.

All of us

Played Ultimate Frisbee on the 1st day. Sad to say we lost, quite badly HAHA. We had a few sessions on Leadership and the attributes of a leader and leading people in a Christ-like manner(I'm not that good in explaining these). Our CF now are actually sharing what we learnt there and its really valueble so I urge you guys to come for CF these few weeks.

Then we had the burger which according to LiYan would drip sauce until our elbows. It was really good and super filling. I still can remember me and Sarah both being greedy pigs and ordered double beef special with cheese. We were practically stuffing it into our mouths, forcing it in.

Then Felicia's surprise birthday celebration! She could'nt stop laughing. Reminded me of when she got buried in sand at Gold Coast. Kept laughing and laughing and laughing. At least she was happy on her birthday haha. We got our CF TEE SHIRTS! WOOHOO! Every1 I recommend them to you! Although its priced at RM25, its really reasonable! It's made from Lycra which is super comfortable, its like half cotton half jersey material. Really nice.

Us modelling the CF Tee =D Felicia Tee. Haha.

Next day, water balloon game was kinda anti climax. Cause the team that lost, gets to kena thrown at with water balloons. And it was super hot, ALL OF US WANTED TO LOSE! Hahahahahaha~!

Long story short, straight to the interesting part! BANANA BOAT! We were all getting our tan nicely then out of nowhere BOOM, BAM, KADINGZA(say what?), Super Daniel appears! Okay that was Daniel's fantasy but, 2 guys in a boat with a banana looking thingy in tow appears over the horizon. This banana boat really tested our determination, strength and character. Real team building ride. Some of them later told us, they thought they were gona die, and their life flashed before them when we fell into the water. At 1st we were screaming like mad and told the guy "Jatuhkan kita 6 kali!", after the first fall, there was a dead silence except "TAK MAU JATUH!" hahahaha! The 1st time really tiring and for those who havent been overturned in water before, a frightful experience.

Food was good, barbeque was quite nice and worship was awesome. I heard a lotta new songs and i kinda like the one "I Love You, Jesus" Really nice song.

The barbeque-ers.

And that was the retreat. Sarah, Cheng and me had really terrible sunburn. Skin peeling and all. I'm like nomore kopi-susu(like Ziqah said long time ago) but more like Kopi-O. T_T Hope I become fair again.

HongKong tourist meets Malaysian sun=Sunburnt even with the umbrella.

Our sunburnt, tired faces.

We miss you guys who couldn't make it to the trip!

Escalator Pic

Changing Room pic. The sales girl must be thinking what is Sharon doing with us in there. LOL

Still in the same changing room.

Dinner time

Went to the bar Republic next and we broke a sofa. All of us rushed into the bad and just make dunno haha. We have left our mark at Republic! hahaha. Sarah ordered 'Sex on the Beach' which was really nice, Joel had my fav Baileys and we had beer. Played cards there till the van came, then balik KTT.

Hmm just wanted to point out that Dentistry is NOT 2nd rate compared to Medicene. I think most Malaysians would say Medicene is better. I beg to differ. This short holidays, I've been told 3 times "Oh Dentistry also okay what" by people. Like wtf? Hello its not ALSO okay, it IS okay! Well my mum did warn me about people giving Dentist a 2nd rating but heck, I really don't wana be a doctor sooo, tadaa.

Lastly wana wish all those seniors goodluck in India, 1 year bound, all the best A2! India bound, Pre-AS and AS all the best! Hope we all study like the nerds we are and score!

Adios 2008 Holla 2009

Once again welcome to the mind of the wacky(not as wacky as Daniel), crazy(not as crazy as Joel), cool(not as cool as Chua & Selvan) and handsome(not as handsome as Keshan) scholar(blowing my own trumpet eh?, at least I blew theirs too).

So a recap of 2008 is due I suppose.
The first 6 months of 2008 were the most non-productive months of my entire life, ever. Other than picking up guitar, I don't think I did anything worthwhile.

SPM results were great.
JPA was great.
KTT was/is hmm great =D.
INDIA is/will be great? I don't know.

The rest of my 2008 is basically what I've been blogging about, so feel free to check my older posts if you're interested la.

2009 Resolutions/Aims
1. Go on a serious DIET
2. Learn Mandarin
(almost gave up when i heard there are 4 ways of saying each word o.O but i'm getting better now =D)
3. Be more calm and composed
4. Mature mentally and most importantly spiritually
5. Stop/Reduce teasing people
6. Stop/Reduce swearing
7. Stop/Reduce daydreaming too much

Wants
Paintball
Beach
Go Kart
3A's for AS and A2
Visit a foreign country, not India again LOL

So the last day of 2008, we were not planning to go anywhere since we had no transport and bascially nobody was back at college that early coz most people came back on the 4th of January. Then around noon, got a call from Joey asking if wana go Sunway. We were up for it and in half an hour's time, we were on our way to Sunway Piramid.

The majestic Petronas Twin Towers, still the tallest TWIN towers in the world.

Not even close to the tallest building in the world currently though lol.

This is how they serve coffee in Vietnam I suppose.

Huge mirror beside the elevator =D

Outside Sunway Piramid

We some horny people.

Horny horny.

Fountain at KLCC

Another group pic.

Makan-ing Burger King on the wet grass.

Aiya photographer didn't get the top of the towers.

The 2 devils we were out with.

The amazing fireworks. Only took 1 pic, then was in awe.

On the way to Piramid we took the wrong turning on the highway and ended up wasting a lot of time U-turning. We U-turned twice if im not mistaken. Then there was once 4 lanes and Joey took the extreme left road, and Keshan said take right. She veered to middle ones, Keshan said right again, then all of us were like which right! Then almost hit the divider and Joey slammed on the brakes, tires screeched, and took the extreme right. Phew. Chua's driving seems waaaay safer =D

So we finally reached Piramid in one piece and decided to watch a movie. It was a choice between watching Twilight again or The Spirit so we chose The Spirit and the poster looked kinda cool and it had a star studded cast, Scarlet Johannson, Megan Fox and Samuel L. Jackson. IT WAS THE STUPIDEST MOVIE I'VE EVER WATCHED. Wasted 11 bucks on some cheap crap. Only the red tie looked good. The rest of the movie was 100% CRAP!

See, even the poster looks cool. Extremely misleading!

Next we thought of staying on all night for the countdown but didn't know if Keshan and Selvan wanted too, but in the end all of us stayed and we went to KLCC for the Countdown. The fireworks were absolutely amazing and lasted around 6 minutes but the build up to the actual countdown sucked. Host of the place was very dead, and some lame ass music was playing in the background. At least play some up beat music to get the crowd going la, seesh. Had dinner on the grass. And came back around 2am+. On the way back got stopped by the police and he kinda waved us down but we thought nothing so Joey drove on, he rapped on the window. Then needed license n all (cause she looked to yound to drive I suppose haha). So that was that for the New Year Countdown.

RANDOM PICS!!

And that is just for A Levels

This is how you turn that stupid alcohol green. Mix everything together =D

Why all the hatred? LOL. Don't hate me coz I'm sexy =D HAHAHA.

Joel + Bed = Disaster

Okay well it was actually the 5 of us on Selvan's bed haha.

Something like this laa happened on Selvan's bed.

Man Utd 3-0 Chelsea! WHEE~ The atmosphere was amazing at Al Salam! Go Man Utd!

I LOVE Mandarin Oranges! We had 3 boxes of them =D

When scholars go hungry.

I thought I lost my wallet one day, and luckily found it back in the CR. It must have fell down the night before when I was studying there. Phew! Then since sometimes its very windy so we can't play badmimton, we play 2on2 futsal at the newly cemented courts. But now the volleyball net is up, so we're back to volleyball. But volleyball is so not tiring, how to slim down like this laaaa. Playing football in the pouring rain was amazing haha. It was more playing in the rain than actually playing football coz you couldnt really kick the ball as the whole field was like a swimming pool. It was really fun.

Just to show you my tidy room(my parents were coming haha =p)

Now it's waaay overdue for our beloved neighbour, Pak Cik Parang. This festive season(Xmas leading up to Chinese New Year), he's been behaving himself except for once. He saw Joel's place's door wide open and took the opportunity to self invite himself in. He said if he heard any guitar at night or noise, he'll throw the guitar out of the balcony. Yawn. Not again. Lame threats. We all stopped talking when he entered but after he stepped out, we were like yada yada yada whatever old man. Just gota endure hmm.

This is my voodoo doll of Pak Cik Parang. And NO, he izn't that cute.

A few days later, on the 1st day of class, our padlock was tampered with, again. We were quite despo not to miss the 1st day of class so we all climbed out of the apartment. And the lock was cut open again. Who did it? Well the last time PCP had motive, now I don't think it was him. Give him the benefit of the doubt la, pity the old psychopath.

LoL hardened but apparently not hard enough.

The things we do to go to class. This was 'The Jump' okay fine 'The Climb'

Next is Ponggal celebration =D. So from what I've heard, its like a hypocritty thingy between a few people between CNY and Ponggal? I don't know, and I don't care, I'm Chindian, enough said. So Ponggal actually is like a kind of harvest festival. So there is Kesari(pronounced Kayseri) which is the sweet lil yellow thingy which is kinda sticky and really delicious. There is also Ponggal rice which is cooked in the pot and is also sweet and sticky LOL (explains diabetes =D). Most of tangga 11 guys wore err kurtha(not sure of the spelling) and jippa(not sure again) which are tradisional Indian costumes, to the event. The event was okay-ish and Miss Rajeswary can really dance well. We took loads of funny pictures of course =D

Rice at the base, milk will overflow when it's ready. Or something like that =D

The yellow thingy is the Kesari and the rice is the sweet Ponggal rice.

Kesari and Chemistry at 4am. Dhana was awake all night, and Beh also came over.

Dance performance by the ICS (Indian Cultural Society)

Group picture with Miss Rajeswary

We thought it was the best picture until......Look closely =D

Supposed to be a serious picture until...A grinning devil appeared haha.

Inspired by Christine/Usain Bolt

Who knew, 1 picture could spark a chain reaction of pictures AND laughter, especially Joel's
(Sharon's pose)

Us doing 'The Sharon Pose'

Picture taken by Sharon so we had to do 'The Sharon Pose'

So exams exams exams. The aroma of Nescafe hovering permanently in the air, whining left, right and centre, and ATTACK OF THE ZOMBIES! Well this time around there we'rent much sleep lost as I got 8 hours of sleep each night thanks to the limited number of chapters that were to be questioned.

Chem exam ended at 4pm on Thursday and by 4.30pm we were on our way to Mid Valley. Didn't really have much time to shop but I got myself a nice Converse tee. Then we headed back to KTT.

You know how they came up with this saying? Carls Sr's wife told him that. HAHA

INTI dosen't sleep, and neither did we.

Drove to Inti at around 11.30pm. We (Chua, Nazrin, Daniel, Joel, Selvan and myself) sang at MyBox(karaoke) till it closed at 2am. Wow the people singing in there, really the very terrible man. Haha 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' was the all time favourite and people could scream on top of their lungs for that song. Then we headed down to Al Salam for supper. After that we went to play pool till around 5am when they closed it, and next to the cyber cafe. We went back to KTT at around 7am+ and I went to get movies from Joel and slept at 8am.

MyBox INTI

Pool. Well I don't think I'm THAT bad for a first timer. Or maybe I am hmm.

Woke up around 11am(suprisingly LOL) and found out that Christine msged twice already asking me to go search for some treasure around Tangga 1. I'm sorry if I kept ya'll waiting =x Not suprisingly it had something to do with Panda and Stinky(i'll get ya'll back someday) haha. But thanks a lot Christine Evelyn Sharon and Sylvia =D

Thx a lot Joel. I'm touched. Seriously. LOL.

Wow hidden treasure. Haha.

Panda. How 'unexpected' haha. Thanks a lot err I don't know which apartment(I'm not Joel) but thanks =D

Line for the KTM at Nilai

This is the train I take back to Tapah Road(40 mins from Teluk Intan)

My birthday cake. Yummy.

Blowing out the candles.
