Passion Conference & Concert! I was looking at the other camera lol. We were the NOISIEST bunch of people in the Sunway Piramid Conference Hall Entrance. "Scholars" haha. More like Noise-Makers.

Soo...That wraps up my posts during the holiday. In 1 month I have achieved so many things. Sang, Danced, Hit In The Head, Made a Police Report, Campaigned To Promote Myself, Study, Life Weights, Jog Everyday, Eat Same Old Food Everyday, and TALK A LOT = Life in KTT.

It's been a MONTH since i've been in touch with the world last. Lo n behold, I have technology at my fingertips again, feel the surge of information muahaha.

Orientation Week
Lets start from waaaay back. It was the most fun ever experience. It was like a 1 week camp except that the 'fun' would last more than a week (ha-ha =.=) Our group 'Begedil' was champs for all 3 Sukaneka events (though we cheated for 2 events =p it was called tactic
haha). And we presented a Chorus Speaking and managed to get 5th, and even got the Princess of the Orientation Week from our group.

~Things that happened~
Recommers
::Recommers stuck together. Cx3 aka Choong, Dcwk aka Daniel, BlurSylvia aka Syl and Phoebe aka Gago aka Ziqah.
::On the first day Keshan told me someone was looking for me, so I said "Who's looking for Shawn Paul, then one chinese fella said "Me, I'm CX3" LOL. Started laughing.


Mid Valley Trip
::Went to Mid Valley the weekend after the orientation week.
::Before started to study also we were going out to Mid Valley lol. I embarassingly slipped and got my leg stuck in the gap between the KTM Komuter Train and the platform while holding a McFlurry. You can imagine what happened next(hint:McFlurry) & yes my leg was hurting like hell.


Evenings

We go 'jogging' every evening. Well for the 1st few weeks it was more like socialising and stress releasing by jogging up the hill and just sitting up there watching the sunset and throwing stones down the hill(yes we're weird weird scholars aren't we?). But as the days go on, jogging got more serious and now basically I jog by myself and sometimes with Queenie or Joel.

Pasar Malam
::One of the highlights of the week(omg we are soooo ULU)
::We normally go there via the KTT Bus which looks nice except its driver who has the mentality that 'Cars are meant to be overtaken(esp at corners)'
::Pasar malam is just to get some different menu for dinner (not that it's any different)
::The cendawan goreng is suprisingly the main attraction for me. It tastes preety damn good mmm.

Apartment
::The BEST part of KTT, no kidding. Our apartment is right above the Lecture Halls. How cool is that? Class at 8 = Wake up at 7.45 and leave at 7.55 haha.
::My apartment faces the front of KTT so its very windy. We were without a hall ceiling fan for a month btw.
::We keep it spotless by having a gotong royong every Friday. But exam week didn't have la. Dhana mopped the floor with 5 different soaps making the floor extremely soapy and had to mop it 5 times haha. Keshan and I scrubbed the bathroom with 4 different soap, each wall has a distinct different smell LOL.
::Bed sinking but feels extremely comfortable after a looong day of studying.

::Lecture halls ain't like halls but they're alrighty I suppose. Classroom-like learning experience.

Church & Christian Fellowship
::I go to the Catholic Church, St. Theresa's Chapel in Nilai every Sunday evening
::It's a nice small church with diverse and multi-racial people, East Msians and even Africans
::What surprised me was the Christian Fellowship in KTT.
::Seriously the first time I went for it I was like in awe. Having a CF in the middle of nowhere.

Haha caught you. THIS will be my last post in Teluk Intan. *groans, not again Shawn. Enough of posting crap*

So being the last day of home cooked meals, hot long showers, nice warm bed and lazing around all day waking up at 11, I'm really going through a tough time. I'm excited at all the preparation for college like shopping and err shopping and more shopping. Parents do spend a lot on children wether they have attained scholarships or not(remind me to not have more than 2 children, please).

Woke up today knowing it's the last time I'll be getting up in that bed for a long time to come. Feeling a lil anxious about leaving home for the first and probably last time(I know I hear people saying "Aiyo going to KL only la, like this how to fly off to India?"). Excited at the daunting prospect of meeting new people(girls la! guys sorry la no time jkjk) and hopefully adapting well into the new environment and social circle. My main concerns about a new study environment firstly is how tough the syllabus is and secondly my clique. Hopefully I can fit in =D

So after packing like half the house(ahha I packed less than Chris who is taking her whole house with her =p), now it's time to relax a lil. Daniel asked me if he could bring along his teddy, I asked him if I could bring along my lifesized pink pig plush toy to KTT*wink*

Kimmy said I would be feeling Happy, Excited, Scared, Nervous, Sad, Enthusiastic, Anxious, Curious and Reluctant. *Says in an Indian accent* You read my mind. Don't put words in my mouth =p At least I'll be taking you along to college, Kimmy. O and A levels =D And yeah Kimmy I am feeling all of those. Very rojak-ky.

One part of is wishing that I had everlasting holidays. Boring but it's nice lazing around eating lasagna(no I'm not Garfield don't worry) and being online all day. At the same time another part of me can't wait to go to KTT. Mounting anticipation. Will people there be friendly or snobbish cause they got JPA? Hmm. All sorts of people going to be coming with different backgrounds. Hopefully no truckloads of stuff(but if got right, you're welcome to be my housemate =D provided you have a fridge and an air cond =p joking joking).

Anyways I'm gonna off the laptop now since I'm gona leave for Prescott Hotel, Klang where I'll be staying a night before the beginning of an epic tale of 400 Malaysian warriors battling it out against an evil organisation called Cambridge A Levels. LOL.

Etched In My Memory Forever

Hmm so unlike me to post a emo/sad post. Well there's always light at the end of the tunnel. So even a sad post gona be ending happily =D i hope. Since I'll be leaving for college in like 4 days time, thought I'd do a recollection of what I'm leaving behind.

Me and Nana(grandma, Yes she's Chinese and Yes she's in a Saree =D go figure)

Family. Well I'm surely gonna miss Daddy and Mummy, Shearn, Nana and even my maid Sri. Don't worry guys I'll keep ya'll in my prayers always. No such thing as lost in sight lost in thought. Daddy take care of your health and Mummy you too. I'll keep my blog updated so mummy you can keep checking it. Shearn don't forget to study or else there won't be 2 doctors in the family(but none medical cause I'm Dental and he aspires to be a Vet) Nana you take care too and take care alright. Sri thanks for spending time to refresh my knowledge of washing, ironing and folding clothes. I've been refining my washing techniques =D dip scrub dip scrub rinse dry(hate the slippery feel of detergent).

Then comes my not so immediate family. Pets =D. Gonna miss and Samantha(cutey labrador)Sasha and Salem(Cat and her Kitten) Don't be too naughty while I'm away k? And no more extra food for you between meals aww. Don't grow up too fast Salem aight? (I might be going 2 Salem, India for Dentistry so maybe the kitten was a sign from God? Hmm?)

Next comes friends. Sadly most of my friends are gone off. Leaving me the last person still stuck in Teluk Intan(not that Sepang is any better off =.=) Kumar & Waraan in Matrix, Satish Taylors, Gan & Weng Lam, LuLu f6, Pei Wen KDU, Tashi some U in Johore, Prakash in Form 6 Sitiawan, Jeya KTAR, Siew Shia & a few in UTAR, Shivaram err somewhere LOL. Guo Sheng and Yeet Chien gona be nearby in INTI. Anyway school life was the best time of my life. Skipping classes, misusing prefects authority, looooong trips to the 1km-away school toilets, hanging out in PK KOKO's(Mr Rafie Ravi) room. Ahh those were the days. (BTW Khairy(sej teacher) even though you cursed us to fail coz we were bodoh, most of us got A1s, NO THX TO YOU! Speed reading in your dreams sucker.)

Still remember teasing Satish a lot. Waraan was the main person teasing him then they would kiss and make up(okay not literally kiss but you get what I mean). Then Satish will ask Waraan, "Apa you nak saya belanja?". Then me and Kumar would be going, "Satish why you so dumb?". And Gan and Jeya erhems gays jkjk! =D LOL. Jeya with his daughter woo woo lotsa speculation. Too bad she was my kai mui so i was involved too =.=". Gan with his everlasting quest to woo Juli but flirting with sooo many other girls. No wonder you couldn't get her . Look at me and Kumar. Loyal, faithful, good guys =D. Kumar and I agreed that 1st gf/relationship is most of the time doomed. LOL. And to my ex, if you are reading this, thank you for all the good memories. And all the best in your SPM next year. And to Kumar's ex, yes yes you're a daughter of a doctor but you failed BIO. Awww. HAHA!

Anyways those were the days la. Even in accounts tuition it was damn fun. Siew Shia like a psycho always disturbing people. Mrs Bala always picking on me, Kumar's and Jeya's. Yes Mrs. Bala thx for being so hard on us. She never expected me to get an A1 for accounts BUT I PROVED YOU WRONG =D. Always harping about "I'm gona tell your mother, Shawn about your accounts" Yada yada yada tell la =.= Anyway the next I'm in TI im gonna drop by your place =D

Last but not least, I'm gonna miss Teluk Intan. Yes it is a slow-paced small town but I'm gonna miss it anyways. Even though it lacks entertainment as in theatres and malls but the supermarkets are sufficient for a small-town boy like me(Okay who am I kidding, I WANT MALLS!). Gonna miss the Leaning Clocktower(though I've only been up it once but it was a nice outing =D) and the FOOD. Chee Cheong Fun, the Soya man at the corner, Popiah at Bumbung Biru, Mastan Ghani's Mee Rebus, Mee Suah, Chin San okay okay lets cut it short =D (More pictures of Teluk Intan in my friendster group named Teluk Intaners. I'm the group leader btw of 1.5k people yay =D) Gonna miss church every Sunday with my family. It's a very nice time of week where we get to socialise and praise the Lord.(psst it's the only place where I can sing my lungs out too =D)

All in all, I'm going to dearly miss everything espcially my family. Guess it's time for me to spread my wings and fly. Millions of teenagers are experiencing this and now it's my turn. Hopefully old friends keep in touch with me and new friends are waiting to be made. Who will be my clique in KTT?....
